Amy M. Morgan
Executive Director
Amy M. Morgan is a native of Chesapeake, VA and has lived in Roanoke for more than 30 years. She has a BA from Roanoke College and a MPA from James Madison University combined with a long career in government and non-profit organizations. For much of her career, Amy has focused on program development for adolescents and their families and serving people in need. Amy is excited to join the team at Family Promise of Greater Roanoke in January 2025. She hopes her expertise in developing strong and impactful programs will help Family Promise grow and help more families experiencing homelessness.
In her free time, you can find Amy working on her latest crochet project, reading a new thriller, or swimming. She is a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she has previously served on the Church Council.

Ronnesha Starkey
Shelter Program Manager
Ronnesha joined our team in March of 2024 as the Shelter Program Manager. Ronnesha is delighted to be returning to her hometown of Roanoke, after several years serving in similar positions in the Richmond area. She has a Bachelor's in social work from Virginia Union University. She has previously worked in the areas of mental health, addiction, and homelessness.

Chris Stewart
Housing Stability Manager
The Housing Stability Manager assists families find housing while they are in the shelter and assists them once they graduate our program. Chris joined our team in July 2024, as the Housing Stability Coordinator. Chris has also worked in the human services field for over a decade with Child Protective Services and Virginia Probation and Parole. Additionally, Chris also has a Sociology degree from Virginia Tech.

Rebecca Harlow
Administrative Assistant
Rebecca joined us at the beginning of 2026. With more than 15 years of experience in administrative support, operations, and guest services, she brings a compassionate and detail-oriented approach to her role as Administrative Assistant. Dedicated to upholding dignity, confidentiality, and efficiency, she helps ensure daily operations run smoothly so our team can focus on providing vital services and support to the community.

Andrew Minnis
Afternoon Driver
The morning driver assists families with afterschool pick up and return from work and transports them to churches and other facilities where they will stay overnight.

The morning driver transports families from their overnight shelter to school, work or the day shelter.

Courtney Jordan
Weekend Monitor
Weekend monitors assist families who are in the Shelter Program on the weekends. They drive and help out around the Family Center.
