Marie Muddiman Beebe

Executive Director

Marie joined the staff in July 2011. Her background includes a wealth of experience in the nonprofit arena. She has worked for United Way of Roanoke Valley as Community Impact Manager, for Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council as Development Manager, and for United Methodist churches. She has a degree in Family and Child Development from Virginia Tech and is a graduate of the Batten Leadership program at Hollins University. While at Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, she was the volunteer coordinator for Family Promise.

Ronnesha Starkey

Shelter Program Manager

Ronnesha joined our team in March of 2024 as the Shelter Program Manager. Ronnesha is delighted to be returning to her hometown of Roanoke, after several years serving in similar positions in the Richmond area. She has a Bachelor's in social work from Virginia Union University. She has previously worked in the areas of mental health, addiction, and homelessness.

Cassidy Parks

Volunteer Resource Coordinator

The Coordinator organizes volunteers for events and the day to day operations of the organization. Cassidy joined the team in September 2023. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Dayton. She has almost a decade of experience working within the philanthropic industry and volunteering. She is a Portland, Maine transplant but has fully embraced the warmer weather of Virginia.

April Bryant

Administrative Assistant

April joined the staff in March of 2023. She has a bachelor's degree in Education from Radford University. She taught middle school in Roanoke City Public Schools for over a decade. She is also a licensed and active real estate agent in the Roanoke Valley. She is a member of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church.

Courtney Jordan

Weekend Monitor

Weekend monitors assist families who are in the Shelter Program on the weekends. They drive and help out around the Family Center.
